Y Lle Da | The Good Place Festival returned to Tenby, Pembrokeshire on Friday 27 & Saturday 28 March for a truly special weekend, once again celebrating Welsh culture through a vibrant mix of music, arts, literature, and performance.
As BB Skone put it, the festival returned “a success once again,” delivering two days of superb music alongside art, literature, workshops, and more. Described by Buzz Magazine as “a festival that feels like the whole town made it,” Y Lle Da truly lived up to its reputation - a joyful, inclusive, and memorable celebration shaped by its community.
In 2026, the festival evolved into a more stripped-back and intimate experience, creating space for deeper connections, creativity, and collaboration. This carefully curated edition featured performances from Melin Melyn, Al Lewis & Band, DJ Bobafatt, Jodie Marie, Taff Rapids, Shale, Aisha Kigs, Baucat, Movement 81 and more. The programme also included a special music industry panel presented by John Hywel Morris (PRS), featuring world-renowned artists Sian Evans (Kosheen), Geoff Downes (Yes, Asia, The Buggles) and Steve Balsamo, while authors Dame Vikki Heywood and Eloise Williams joined a thought-provoking literature panel. Live elements from Samba Doc, who brought the energy of samba drums to the streets, and performances from local drama group Escape added an extra dynamic layer to the weekend, alongside workshops and live art.
The festival first launched in 2025, bringing together an inspiring programme across iconic venues including St Mary’s Church, The De Valence, The Dogs Home, local pubs, and spaces throughout the town. Highlights from that debut year included performances from Gruff Rhys, N’famady Kouyaté, Cerys Hafana, Das Koolies, Samana, Mace the Great, DJ Andy Smith, Kizzy Crawford, Sage Todz and more, alongside creative workshops for young people & industry panels led by PRS for Music Wales.
A huge thank you to all of the sponsors, artists, stall holders, sound & tech teams, volunteers, venues and ticket buyers who helped bring this festival to life.
